IMTEX 2019, the largest IMTEX ever, celebrating its 50th year is inaugurated today at BIEC Bangalore by Shri H.D. Kumaraswamy, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Karnataka. Shri R.V. Deshpande, Minister for Revenue, Government of Karnataka, Shri K.J. George, Minister for Large & Medium Scale Industries, Government of Karnataka, Vikram Kirloskar, Vice President, Confederation of Indian Industry, and Ram Venkataramani, President, Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India. Jamshyd N. Godrej, Chairman, Exhibitions - IMTMA, P. Ramadas, President, IMTMA, Indradev Babu, Vice President, IMTMA and V. Anbu, Director General & CEO, IMTMA were also present at the inauguration.
An initiative of IMTMA, IMTEX is a flagship event for the Indian metal cutting industry. It is South and South East Asia's apex exhibition showcasing the latest trends as well as technological refinements from India and other global players. The mega event attracts visitors from a wide spectrum of manufacturing and ancillary industries including key decision and policy makers as well as industry captains who are keen to source latest technologies and manufacturing solutions for their product lines.
Tooltech 2019 is a premier event concurrent showcasing machine tool accessories, metrology and CAD/CAM cutting tools, tooling systems and current trends in the tooling industry.
Shri Kumaraswamy in his inaugural address said that Bengaluru was historically a manufacturing hub and is making its mark as a startup and biotech hub as well. “To give impetus to aerospace vertical Karnataka has announced an aerospace policy that has identified investment potential of around 10 billion dollars in the sector during 2013-2023 which is expected to give a boost to the manufacturing industry in Karnataka.
More than 1150 Exhibitors are exhibiting their state of the art products at IMTEX 2019 and Tooltech 2019 spread across 6 Halls. Exhibitors from 23 countries with 7 country group participation are present in this mega event.
IMTEX and Tooltech are must see events for everyone connected with the manufacturing industry to understand the technology trends, see the latest products, experience the future technologies and meet the people behind it all.
Shri K.J. George said that the state has been in the forefront of many ventures such as setting up the world’s largest solar park, launching booster kit for start-ups, setting up an exclusive machine tool park, etc. He called upon the manufacturing industry to do their business in the state including their capacity expansions.
Marking 50 years celebration, IMTMA has planned a series of activities as part of the show including several new initiatives all of which will be unravelled in the week from 24th January to 30th January 2019.
