Bharat Forge Ltd. and Liebherr-Aerospace & Transportation SAS have announced plans to set up an aerospace manufacturing facility in Pune, India. The facility, expected to be operational in 2025, will produce high-precision components, including landing gear parts.
The plant will feature a ring mill and advanced machining technologies as part of Bharat Forge’s expansion in the aerospace sector. The collaboration is intended to enhance Liebherr’s supply chain and manufacturing capabilities.
According to Bharat Forge’s Aerospace CEO, Guru Biswal, the investment will focus on high-precision engineering for aerospace applications. Liebherr’s Chief Customer Officer, Alex Vlielander, noted that the facility would help meet industry requirements and strengthen production capabilities.
The announcement was made at Aero India 2025.
