Dream Aerospace has raised Rs 3 crore in a pre-seed funding round led by Inflection Point Ventures (IPV). According to a press release issued by the company, the funding will support the development of its flagship product, the ATOM Thruster, and facilitate the validation of its propulsion systems. The company also plans to establish an in-house high-altitude test facility as part of this initiative.
Dream Aerospace was founded in 2022 by Hari Krishnan KJ, a PhD candidate at IIT Kanpur, and Aerospace Engineering graduate Rogith S. The startup focuses on developing propulsion technologies for satellite applications, aiming to create scalable and cost-effective solutions.
Co-founders Hari Krishnan and Rogith stated that the funding would help accelerate product development and production capabilities, with a focus on propulsion systems designed for CubeSats and larger satellites.
Inflection Point Ventures' Co-founder Mitesh Shah commented on the investment, citing the company's approach to propulsion technology as innovative and environmentally focused.
The startup is targeting advancements in the satellite propulsion market, which was valued at $9.66 billion globally. Its work emphasizes scalable and reusable systems aimed at addressing growing demands for efficient and sustainable satellite propulsion technologies.
