Godrej & Boyce’s aerospace division has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA) for the development of flight control actuators for the Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) programme. The agreement was announced at Aero India 2025 in Bengaluru.
As part of the MoU, the company will undertake precision manufacturing, procurement of aerospace-grade raw materials, assembly and testing, and the development of test rigs for qualification tests.
Godrej & Boyce has collaborated with ADA for over 20 years, contributing to the development of flight-critical DDV-based servo actuators and associated functional elements.
The company stated that it is advancing from "Built to Print" to "Built to Spec" capabilities and is integrating 3D printing into its manufacturing processes. This technology enables the production of complex components in a single process, reducing traditional production steps and improving efficiency.
Maneck Behramkamdin, Senior Vice President and Business Head of the aerospace division, said the collaboration aligns with efforts to enhance domestic aerospace manufacturing.
The MoU supports ongoing national defence initiatives aimed at developing indigenous aerospace technologies.
