Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) and the Defence Institute of Advanced Technology (DIAT), Pune, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on aerospace research, academic programs, and skill development.
The MoU, signed by HAL Management Academy (HMA) Executive Director G Srikantha Sharma and DIAT Vice Chancellor BHVS Narayana Murthy, establishes a framework for cooperation between the aerospace industry and academia. HAL Chairman and Managing Director D K Sunil and other senior officials attended the signing event.
Under this agreement, HAL executives will have access to master's and Ph.D. programs at DIAT, along with specialized training in emerging technologies. The collaboration also includes faculty and student exchanges, as well as joint research initiatives, conferences, and seminars focused on aviation and defence advancements.
The partnership is expected to facilitate knowledge sharing and research-driven innovation in aerospace technology, according to the press release.
