Hyderabad-based start-up XDLINX Spacelabs will launch its ELEVATION-1 technology demonstrator satellite on January 15 as part of SpaceX's Transporter-12 mission.
The launch is set to take place from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California, alongside satellites from other companies.
The ELEVATION-1 satellite was conceptualized, designed, tested, and constructed within eight months at XDLINX Spacelabs. According to the company, the satellite represents a step toward advancing satellite communication technologies.
Syed Ahmed, a payload scientist at XDLINX, highlighted the significance of the mission, stating that it showcases the company's capacity to execute end-to-end satellite development within a compressed timeline.
The Transporter-12 mission will also include satellites from Digantara and Pixxel, though this report focuses on XDLINX's involvement. The launch marks an important milestone in the company's efforts to contribute to advancements in satellite communication.
